Our Commitment To The Future.

The cyber security skills gap is ever growing. Businesses need top cyber security talent and subsequently do not want to invest in new entrants to the field. This is precisely why Manny founded Hackers for Change: an innovative non-profit organization that is training the next generation of cyber security consultants.

Free Crowdsourced Security Services for Charities and Non Profits

According to Norton, in 2019, over 4.1 billion consumer records were compromised. There is an undeniable need for cyber security services to stay ahead of malicious hackers. However, cyber security services are expensive and most charities/NPOs do not have the financial resources to secure their networks. Hackers for Change was founded to address this gap by providing free cyber security services for charities, crowdsourced by senior and junior cyber security talent.

Services rendered by Hackers for Change include: penetration testing services, security awareness training, and secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) consulting and education. This ensures that charities and non-profits can focus on social impact while leaving the security to us.

According to Cybersecurity Ventures, there will be 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs globally by the end of 2021. Despite the large demand for talent, employers want qualified candidates with the underlying experience. New entrants are struggling to gain this experience, and Hackers for Change wants to fix that.

Using our unique crowdsourced security model, we are able to give junior consultants the opportunity to work directly with a senior resource in the industry and gain valuable hands-on experience that they can leverage to gain employment.

Invaluable Technical Experience for Volunteers
